During August 1-6, 2000 I was at Ladyfest in Olympia, Washington and it was one of the best times I've ever had.  I went there ostensibly to see and hear many of my favorite bands but what I experienced was a creative community unfettered by limits. I had fun. And I got to see the Pacific Northwest for the first time.
